Christmas Day

We had a very busy Christmas day. Geoff and I both woke up earlier than Tyler and Cole. We eventually had to open Cole's door and start making lots of noise to get him up! The boys were so excited to see what Santa brought!

Tyler has some of the best bed head I've ever seen!

After our morning at home we went to my parents' house for breakfast. The remote Buzz Lightyear Car from Auntie Miki was a hit with Cole!

Tyler also enjoyed his remote control Hummer from Auntie Miki! What boy wouldn't love that?!

But they love Auntie Miki more than any gifts!

After our breakfast we went to Geoff's parents house for brunch!

We went home and rested, then had our annual Christmas dinner party with the Masuda side of the family at my parents' house.

Here's our attempt at a family picture! (Geoff was home sick with a cold!)

My cousins Jon, Tara, Darrell with Miki and myself. The second generation.

Here's the third generation. Anna, Ashton, Tyler, Cole and Lane.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Keri (Geoff's sister) and Dean'shouse. Dean made a fabulous gourmet dinner for us all. Afterward we had a delicious molten lava cake dessert and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus! Later in the evening the cousins broke out the karaoke machine and Cole and Tyler were hamming it up!!

Christmas Time

Preschool Choir Performance
Tyler sang in the children's choir at Calvary on Sunday. It was his debut performance! The kids were so adorable. It brought tears to my eyes.

Thursday night the kids came for a rehearsal. It brought me back to Carol Sing Days!

Tyler and Mollie waiting for the dress rehearsal that morning.

Sunday was the big day. They performed "Away In A Manger" in both services.

Gingerbread House Making Party

Our playgroup had a Gingerbread House Making Party. These kids have known each other since Tyler was 5 weeks old! Many now have siblings as well. Tyler and Cole had lots of fun (mainly eating the candy!). Cole helped Geoff out with much of the decorating.

Our friend Nina gave each of the kids an apron and a snow making kit!

The finished product. So beautiful!

Christmas in the Park

Melissa and I took the boys to Christmas in the Park in downtown San Jose. It's the first time that they've seen it. They loved the snow machines that blew snow out and the little train.

Trying to catch the snowflakes!

Spa Day

Miki treated me to a wonderful spa day at Burke Williams for my birthday. Since I got sick on my birthday, we didn't get a chance to do it until December! It was such a fun day of pampering. We got massages and spent most of the morning lounging about at the spa, then had lunch at Santana Row.

Los Gatos Christmas Parade

We really enjoyed the Los Gatos Christmas Parade this year. Tyler and Cole loved the bands and the bike jump guy who did a flip off of one ramp onto another! We started out the morning by having a pancake breakfast at Tyler's preschool (Cole thinks it's his school too sometimes!)

Auntie Miki came with Shannon and was a huge help! Of course Cole wanted to be with her the entire time!

(Tyler was not in a picture taking mood. Too in to the parade!)

Picture with Santa

I took the boys to have their picture taken with Santa for the first time! I was just thankful that there were no tears!

A Fun Family Day!

We always love it when Daddy has time off! We had a lazy morning followed by a hike in the hills.

The boys always want to have the perfect walking stick!

Cole got a little tired, but kept up pretty well for the most part.

We went to dinner at Azuma's for some yummy Japanese food to celebrate Mommy's birthday (2 months later!)

Christmas Tree Hunting

Yes, we actually went and got our tree the day after Thanksgiving. We went up off Black Rd. in the mountains. We ended up getting the first tree that we stopped to look at! So different from our half-a-day search last year!

Thanksgiving

We had a very nice Thanksgiving at Granny and Papa's house (Geoff's parents). We have so much to be thankful for! The boys had fun driving Rylan's remote control truck (and when I say boys, I mean Rylan, Tyler, Cole, Dean and Geoff!)

Dress up time is fairly standard at Granny and Papa's when the cousins are around. Tyler and Cole even got in on some of the outfits! It wasn't the same without Natalie and Heidi, though!

How you doin'?!
