A Day in the City

My parents babysat while Geoff and I spent a day in San Francisco (a belated Valentines since Geoff was sick). We went to a little Brazilian restaurant for lunch.

We entered a lottery at the Orpheum to buy tickets for Wicked and won!

T-Ball

Tyler had his first T-ball practice with his team, the Giants. Geoff helped out while he was there.

Silver Creek Sportsplex

We went to the Silvercreek Sportsplex on the recommendation of one of our neighbors. They had about 5 or 6 huge jumpy house features that they got to play on. Very fun!

He really was having fun!

Children's Discovery Museum

We had a week off for Winter Break, but Tyler got a cold just as it was beginning. Thursday he was finally well enough to get out of the house and the sun actually appeared (we're happy for the rain, but need a little sun once in a while to break it up), so we went to the Children's Discovery Museum.

There was a new exhibit called "Out on a Limb". Super fun!

When they played these drums it was supposed to make the sound of the wind. It kind of sounded like drums to me...
Check it out for yourself. Cole really gets into it at the end!

They always love to make pizza...

and deliver it in the pizza truck.

There was also a trike obstacle course.

Tyler and Cole seemed to think it was a race track!

How many of you have seen a tire this big let alone sat in one?!

Racing with Miki at lunch time. Okay, so maybe Cole cheated.

The Jelly Belly Factory

Tyler and Cole have a week off for President's Week so we decided to start our adventures today (Friday). My mom and I took them to the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield. It was right up Tyler's alley with all the conveyor belts, etc. No pictures allowed on the tour, though.

Everyone had to wear the hat on the tour.
Biggest Jelly Belly ever!

A Day in the City

Last Saturday Geoff decided to take the boys on a boys only adventure. He gave them a bunch of options and they chose to go to "the city".

This was their first ride on a cable car.

They went to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. Another first for Tyler and Cole. They saw gorillas...
elephants....

and tropical birds!

Then they went to Pier 39 and saw Sponge Bob!
They even saw a performer who ate fire!

Geoff took them to Ghiardelli to get a little sweet treat. Before going in he offered them either some chocolate or some ice cream. Tyler chose chocolate and Cole chose ice cream. When they entered the store, a nice employee was handing out chocolate samples. Tyler said "thank you" with great enthusiasm and Cole said "I don't want chocolate! I want ice cream!" Needless to say, they had a little of both.
On the way home they stopped in Mendocino to watch planes landing and taking off from the airport.
All in all boys day was a great success and all three boys were exhausted by the end!

Corduroy and Valentine's Day

Tyler's preschool class has a Corduroy bear that gets sent home with each child for a few days at a time. We are supposed to journal about what we did with Corduroy during our time with him.
Both boys were very excited to get to spend time with him! This was the second time that Tyler got to bring him home, so he let Cole sleep with him each night this time around.

Our teacher requested that we make our Valentines this year!

Of course, Corduroy helped.

And Cole made his Valentines for his class too!
I made Valentine's Day Cookies for the boys.

And Tyler took Corduroy to church and Cubbies on Sunday.
We made Valentine Toast for breakfast one morning.
