Halloween

Tyler and Cole have been so excited about Halloween and trick or treating this year. We went trick or treating on Lincoln Ave. in Willow Glen this morning and went in our neighborhood this evening. I think they're all trick or treated out now!

Miki and Melissa both came trick or treating with us. Tyler and Cole were very happy about that!

Our neighbors across the street build a huge pirate ship in their front yard. They have music and dress like pirates. The cannons even blew smoke!

Trunk or Treat '08

Sunday night the Awana program held "Trunk or Treat" night. Basically the parents park in the parking lot and open their trunks and give treats to all of the children. It's something Tyler looks forward to and now Cole will too! They both loved getting treats and Geoff decorated our area with spider webs and spiders.

Preschool Halloween Party

Saturday was the Los Gatos Parent Nursery School Halloween party. The boys had lots of fun wearing their costumes (Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader) and seeing their friends.

Uesugi Pumpkin Patch

My mom and I took Tyler and Cole to Uesugi pumpkin patch in Gilroy today. Boy, has it changed in the last couple of years. Although it was a fun day, I don't think we'll go back until a school field trip takes us there. A bit too commercial for us.

Class Field Trip

Cole's class took their first field trip to a small pumpkin patch.

Tyler came along to "help out".

Halloween Cookies

This morning we made cookie dough for Halloween cookies. We baked them this afternoon after Tyler's preschool, then frosted them after dinner. It was truly an all day project! Of course the best part was trying them out!

Ghost Toast

We are getting into the spirit of holidays and traditions this year. We decorated our front yard with spiders and spider webs and made ghosts lanterns out of milk jugs. One of Tyler and Cole's favorite things so far has been "ghost toast".

Cubbies

Tyler and Cole are doing Cubbies together this year. It makes it much more enjoyable for Tyler to have Cole there as well and of course, Cole couldn't be more thrilled to be with Tyler! They are both doing an awesome job memorizing the verses and got their first patches. Here are the proud little Cubbies!

Family Day

We had a big family day on Saturday. We all went to Home Depot's Children's Workshop and made firetrucks in the morning, then went to the park for an All School Social for the preschool, then went over to Santa Cruz to the pier for clam chowder and the Boardwalk for rides. I don't know who was more exhausted, us or the kids (probably us!)
