New Year's Eve

I took the boys to the Children's Discovery Museum on New Year's Eve for their kids' celebration. They did a countdown and a balloon drop at noon.

The boys made party hats and noise makers.
I pictured a lot more balloons in the "balloon drop", but oh well...Tyler and Cole liked the confetti.

Christmas Eve '08

We spent Christmas Eve at Geoff's sister's house. Her husband, Dean, always treats us to a delicous gourmet meal!

Big hugs from Papa

and of course some snuggle time, too.

Keri covers the table in butcher paper and gives everyone crayons.

After dinner the Anya showed Cole the Nativity set.

Aunt Keri read the boys a Christmas story.

And we ended the evening with a little Rock Band! Cole's a natural rocker.

Snowy Tahoe

We had the wonderful opportunity to go to our friend, Leesa's, Tahoe house again. It couldn't have been more beautiful! There was fresh powder everywhere. Tyler and Cole has so much fun playing in the snow everyday and even got to go sledding a couple of times! There were a lot of firsts (icicles, snow angels, sledding, snowflakes).

Tyler with his icicle gun.

totally fierce!

Miki and Melissa came up for the weekend.

We made our first snow angels ever!

It was so cool to blaze our own trails.
Here are Melissa and Tyler up on the snowy pier.

Miki, Melissa and Richelle attempted to build a snowman at the end of the pier (this is snowman 1).
Proud of our work!
Geoff built his own snowman back on the shore (this is snowman 2).
We took the boys sledding in the afternoon.
No, Geoff didn't pull them the whole time. Here's Tyler's first run.
Here's Cole before he goes...
Okay, so he was a little scared, but he ended up having a blast!
Here's the footage to prove it!
The boys got a bit tired hiking up the hill (and so did everyone else!)
Cole discovering that he can eat the snow (the WHITE snow).
Geoff built a snow fort with the boys.
The next day it was snowing pretty hard, but we wanted to play in the snow more! Tyler and Cole loved being out and never complained about the freezing temperatures!
We even built a giant snowman on the shore outside the house. Guess who did most of the work?
The boys pitched in for the smaller parts.
The finished product, complete with a baby carrot for the nose! (this is snowman 3)

Polar Express

Tyler's class had a Polar Express day for the last day before the break. They all wore their pajamas to school. He had missed 2 days of school due to a cold. When he came up to the porch, the girls were chanting "Tyler's back, Tyler's back!". It definitely brought a smile to his face!

Circle time. Don't you miss those days?!

3rd Annual Girls' Night Christmas Party

As is tradition, our Bible Study group had a little Christmas get together at our house. Such a great group of women! I'm so thankful for them.

Los Gatos Christmas Parade

Tyler and Cole's preschool hosts a pancake breakfast before the Los Gatos Christmas Parade, then we all walk down to watch the parade.

Cole enjoyed a special treat, hot chocolate!

My mom and dad walked down and met us there.
It was oddly warm that day. Notice Geoff's short sleeves!
