Meeting Geoff for Lunch

We decided to meet Geoff for lunch one day. We met at the Great Mall in Milpitas, then went to Dave and Busters to play some games.

Masdua Family New Year Celebration

Every year the Masuda side of our family gets together to celebrate the New Year. It's usually not on January 1, though!

A Day in the City

We decided to head up to San Francisco for the day. It was still all decorated for Christmas. Here are the boys in front of the ice skating rink in Union Square (no, we didn't try it!)

We took a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf. We stopped by Boudin Bakery and watched the worker make turtles out of bread. Tyler was fascinated by all the conveyor belts and machines! He said, "Maybe I can work here one day."

We went on to Pier 39 where we watched a performer juggle fire and do a little comedy on the stage.

We ate a volcano at the rainforest cafe.

Cole requested that I capture him SO FAR off the ground!

Family Day

Geoff had some time off during the boys' break as well, so we headed to Santa Cruz. We went miniature golfing at the Boardwalk, then headed to Natural Bridges for some tide pool exploring.

I loved how Cole was holding Geoff's hand and Tyler had his arm around Cole.

Christmas 2009

We had a very nice Christmas with both sides of the family. We do a lot of family hopping on Christmas. We opened some presents at home in the morning. Even Milo got some presents. Here he is holding everything from his stocking in his mouth at once!

Next we went to my parents' house for breakfast.

And then to Geoff's parents' for brunch.

We went back to my parents' house that evening for Christmas dinner with the Masuda side of the family.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Keri and Dean's (Geoff's sister and family). This time my parents and Miki came as well. Dean is a fabulous cook, so it's always a treat to have a meal there!

Gingerbread House Party

We had some friends over to have a Gingerbread House making party.

Despite the lack of smile, the boys were thrilled with their house!

After decorating the kids watched some Christmas shows and some of the older kids even read Christmas books to the younger kids. Then, it was time for Rock Band!
