Half Dome 2013

We went to Yosemite with some friends.  It was the boys' first time there. We have been training to climb Half Dome.  We started out at 5:30am!

Cole was tired at the beginning.  Geoff was carrying a heavy pack and a heavy kid!

 That's Tyler sitting on the steps.  He was in the lead the whole 16 miles!

 The first falls on the mist trail, Vernal Falls.

We did it!  The four of us went to the summit on the cables.  We got back down the mountain at 5:30pm.

On the way home the next day, we stopped at one of our favorite on the road restaurants, the Black Bear Diner.

Last Day of School 2013!

Last day of 3rd grade for Tyler and 2nd grade for Cole.  Tyler made a paper mache pig for his Charlotte's Web unit.

2nd grade End of the Year Party!

I helped out for Mrs. DeFazio's End of the Year party.  Can;t believe Cole's going into 3rd!

2013 AA All Stars

Tyler and Cole were 2 of the 3 boys chosen to play in the AA All Stars game to represent their team.  Each boy was introduced over the loudspeaker.

Baseball Awards Party

This year the boys each received a bobblehead trophy for baseball.

Big Hike at Macabee

We did another big hike to prepare for our Half Dome trip.

 We saw a rattle snake slither right across the trail!  That's what you get for hiking in this heat!

 It turned out to be a bit much for poor little Milo.
