Awana Award Ceremony

Cole finished his second year in Cubbies. He was very proud of memorizing all of the verses and getting a blue ribbon!

Tyler finished his first year in Sparks. He finished his whole book, then did the review verses.

Happy Hollow and Japanese Gardens

Although we went to the preview opening of Happy Hollow, it was so crowded, it was difficult to enjoy it, so one Friday after school we headed over to the newly remodeled park. We especially wanted to ride the new Danny the Dragon train, but yet again, it was not running!

They had a scavenger hunt with Safari Sam, the new mascot of Happy Hollow. We had to search for letters hidden around the park, then unscramble them to solve the riddle. The winners got free icees. We won!

When we were leaving we decided to check out the Japanese Gardens. I hadn't been since I was little.

Spring Break - Gilroy Gardens

Friday we went to Gilroy Gardens. They are celebrating their 10th birthday so they had a treasure hunt that day. Tyler and Cole really enjoyed that part. They even got a goodie bag when they were done.

Spring Break - Children's Discovery Museum

Thursday we went to the Children's Discovery Museum. They had some science activities having to do with the environment that day. Here's Tyler trying to fit as many drops of water on a penny as possible. He got 19!

Spring Break - Great America

Tuesday we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but I forgot my camera! Wednesday we went to Great America. They now have Snoopy and the other Charlie Brown characters at the park.

Spring Break - Tech Museum

Every day of Spring Break we did a different day trip. Monday we went to the Tech Museum with my parents.

This was the favorite activity of the day.

They were trying to guide a little ball to a hole using kitchen utensils on the ramp.

Easter 2010

We went to church at Calvary with Miki and my parents on Easter morning. We heard a very moving testimony. Afterward, we went to Keri and Dean's for Easter lunch and an egg hunt.
