Disneyland '09

We took the plunge and splurged on a family vacation to Disneyland. Disney was doing a 5 for 3 deal so we actually spent 5 days at Disneyland and California Adventure leaving on Mother's Day!! Needless to say we were all completely exhausted by the end, but had an amazing time together as a family!
This was Tyler and Cole's first time on the tea cups!

Winnie the Pooh ride was a favorite when we came 2 years ago, but we only did it once this time around. Tyler's favorite this time was Pirate's of the Carribean and Toy Story Midway Mania.

Pure excitement!

We stayed late the first night to catch the Fireworks. Tyler and Cole had never seen a real fireworks show and this was a great one!

Pictures just don't do it justice. Their favorite part was the Star Wars section!

Here was Tyler's reaction afterward.

Day 2 - We saw Pluto at California Adventure.

and Minnie Mouse.

Waiting for our first experience at Turtle Talk with Crush.

Muppet Show in 3D

Day 3 - We got early entry and did Nemo's Submarine voyage, then went for Autotopia.

Our first time on Alice in Wonderland.

All the boys in Tarzan's Treehouse.

Here we are wating for the Monorail, one of Cole's favorite "rides".

Day 4 - We went to Mickey's Toontown and saw Goofy!

We finally had a chance to take a picture with Mickey Mouse, but Tyler wasn't in a picture mood.

We discovered the water play area in a Bug's Land. It was a big hit for Tyler and Cole!

Notice the stick bug in the background.

Day 5

Here's a shot from this year....

....and here's the shot from 2 years ago!

On the last day we discovered Casey Jr.'s Circus train. It was one of Cole's favorites along with Haunted Mansion, Small World and Toy Story Midway Mania.

We saw Chip and Dale in Frontierland.

We ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.
After dinner we watched the "Celebrate Parade" then went on our last ride, Astro Blasters!

Mother's Day Tea

Tyler's class prepared a Mother's Day Tea on Tuesday. They rehearsed several songs and did a variety of projects with us when we arrived. We planted flowers in a pot that he had decorated, wrote in his journal about what we like to do together and had our picture taken which was put in a frame that he decorated. At snack time, all the kids served their moms. Tyler was truly a gentleman. What a fun way to celebrate Mother's day at school!!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium to see the new Seahorse exhibit. It was very cool to see all the different types of seahorses, some of which we had never seen in our lives!

Okay, so this one was just a screen image.
So cool! It looks like a plant, but it's a seahorse!
